Farm raised off the pasture Chicken Eggs
The hens run the Farm, just ask one of them. They go where they want when they want. They eat all the bugs and grass that can be found plus a supply of non-GMO naturally grown feed. I travel to Yoder and Thayer KS to find just the right chicken feed for the girls. We know when you had an egg from the 4D Pastures girls you’ll understand the work that goes into this superior product.
The Meat Birds
The Big Meat Birds can be found on the grass but are kept in a pen for protection, it’s fun to watch how excited they get when you give them a visit, just in case you have a treat. They like to eat. Our birds get the same non-GMO naturally grown feed as the layers get. This in combination with no hormones or antibodies gives us and your family a great tasting healthy meal.
Pork
The Pork this year comes courtesy of our Hampshire mixes. Houdini for short. We had fun chasing them back in their pasture. These Hogs were raised on non-GMO feed, no antibiotics or hormones and with lots of love. Remember to give thanks for your delicious off the farm Ham.
Where's the beef?
The beef cows are Red Angus cows that have been selectively bred to have the traits needed for success, being raised from birth to processing exclusively on grass. We at 4D Pastures have been benefiting by working with other ranchers that have the same values. The original design of the cow was to eat grass and only grass. Getting away for commercially raised Beef has its challenges for both the farmer and the consumer. By working as a team, we can offer this quality product to you. Beef raised the way it was intended.
